Get Physical will kick off 2021 with a fantastic new track by Yulia Niko and Bombossa Brothers featuring Totó La Momposina’s stunning vocals.
That vocal is well known in house circles: Totó La Momposina originally sang it back in 1991 on ‘El Pescador’ on her vital Tambolero album. Michel Cleis then sampled it for for his anthemic and chart toping ‘La Mezcla’ and now it gets repurposed once more with some fresh beats from Yulia Niko and Bombossa Brothers.
Niko is a Russian artist with a Law degree who has lived in both Greece and New York, put out music on Crosstown Rebels, Get Physical and Objektivity and picks up frequent support from the likes of BBC Radio 1 and Jamie Jones. Here the rising star links with Bombossa Brothers, who are twins as well as being Elrow Music and Natural Rhythm associates who entertain crowds at places like Amnesia in Ibiza with their always colourful and groovy sounds.
'La Playita' is a brilliant house track with a rich afro feel - chunky drums, loose percussion and earthy hand claps finished off with spiritual synths and of course the most famous vocal. Totó La Momposina's impassioned delivery is from the heart and adds real soul and warmth to this tune to ensure that it cannot fail to have a spine-tingling effect on all who hear it.
This is another epic single from Get Physical who are already sure to start 2021 in fine style.

That is a ridiculous piece of music. Such a massive wall of sound...big beat meets trans European express...with a touch of acid house....I am astonished by by how good this and quite a few of the DJ.M productions are... varneym
